Religion and ethics

Jamison High School will provide Combined Christian SRE taught by representatives of the Australian Christian Churches. The participating approved providers in the combined group arrangement are the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, Baptist Union of NSW, The Salvation Army, Australian Christian Churches and Presbyterian Church of Australia.

The SRE Curriculum used by the Australian Christian Churches at Jamison High School is the Explore & XP Season 1 SRE Curriculums. You can find out more about these curriculums at Explore SRE - Scope and Sequence and XP Season 1 SRE - Scope and Sequence

Combined Christian SRE is the only SRE option currently available at Jamison High School. If other SRE options become available, we will communicate any new SRE options new options.

Delivery of Combined Christian SRE

SRE at Jamison High School is taught in a seminar format once per term for 1 or 2 periods for Year 7 students. Details about when the seminar will run for your child will be communicated prior to seminar commencement.

SEE

There are currently no providers for SEE at Jamison High School. If SEE options become available, we will communicate new options to you via the school website, the school Facebook page and a letter home.

Enrolment in and withdrawal from SRE

Any students enrolled at Jamison High School are required indicate their SRE preference during online enrolment or complete the 'Special Religious Education and Special Education in Ethics Participation Letter' via paper enrolment.

Please contact the school for a copy of this letter. You may also write to the school at any time if you wish to change your SRE / SEE preference.

Inspire – High potential and gifted education

At our school, we give the right support to help gifted learners to grow and do their best.

We notice these students early. They may learn quickly or show strong skills in creativity, leadership, problem solving or sport. We help them stay challenged with lessons and activities that match their strengths.
