The Support Unit at Jamison High School consists of five classes designed to specifically meet the needs of students with a primary diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Each class has a maximum of 7 students so that their individual learning, social, emotional, behavioural and communication needs can be met.
A team of Special and Inclusive Educators and School Learning Support Officers (SLSO’s) work with mainstream staff to provide access to all curriculum areas and aspects of high school life. We aim to provide quality education to all of our students with the following key aspects underpinning our practice; high expectations, inclusion and independence.
