Jamison Aeronautics and Space Research
Jamison Aeronautics & Space Research program (JASR) is an extracurricular course offering students the chance to engage in real-world applications of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Students employ basic laws of physics through the design and production of bottle rockets and drone piloting. Students then apply their skills and knowledge by competing in the National Aeronautical Velocity Challenge host by Wollongong University
STEM Transition Team
Years 9-12 students of the JASR mentor primary school students in the design and construction of bottle rockets, as part of a STEM transition program to start the process of critical learning for students as they transition from Primary to High School.
4x4 Land Rover Challenge
As part of the STEM program, the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Challenge engages students in the process of design, engineering, document and piloting of a scale sized off-road radio controlled vehicle in the national competition for 2019.
