Investing in our schools
The NSW Government is investing $7 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver more than 200 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW. The NSW Department of Education is committed to delivering new and upgraded schools for communities across NSW. The delivery of these important projects is essential to the future learning needs of our students and supports growth in the local economy.
Planning for a new multi-purpose hall at Jamison High School
Planning continues for a new multi-purpose hall at Jamison High School. The project includes:
- A new school hall facility.
- Indoor sports courts.
- Sports and large equipment storage rooms.
- New toilets and back of house facilities.
Progress summary
Planning of the new hall project continues. Early works have enabled us to achieve an understanding of the requirements of the school. The schematic design is now complete School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW) has completed the tender process to construct the new multi-purpose hall. The construction contract has been awarded to Prime Constructions and we expect construction to start soon with the aim of completing the hall in late 2021, subject to planning approvals.
Next steps
- Continue development application process.
- Continue Project Reference Group (PRG) meetings.
- Contractor will start site establishment work.
